Last week, Microsoft released an update KB5020040 for Windows 11 Insider Beta users, where with this update, the OS build will change to 22621.891 or 22623.891 depending on the user’s system configuration.

So friends, apart from presenting new features including search in task manager, and a number of improvements in it, there is one bug which in my opinion is quite annoying, where is it task manager not displaying startup apps anything, and even empty as in the following image.

Now this bug itself on November 14th was added as known issues at build 22623.891, and of course Microsoft may be investigating and trying to fix this issue in a future update.

[ADDED 11/14] We’re investigating reports that the Startup apps page in Task manager is not listing any apps for some Insiders. If you are impacted, please use Settings > Apps > Startup for the time being.” Microsoft said in an on-page update release note updates KB5020040.

For you Windows 11 Insider Beta users who are affected by this problem and happen to want to change startup items on your Windows 11, while you can use third party tools like Autoruns for Windows which you can download on the Microsoft page following.

So, did you find this bug? comment below guys.
