A new bug reported by Microsoft through the Windows 11 Health Dashboard page from Windows 11 22H2, where this problem is related to WSUS or Windows Server Update Services which gets an error that WSUS on the server side will still be downloaded but from the client side it may not get updates from the WSUS.

Now this problem itself does not occur on all devices, but specifically for devices in a company that implements updates centrally from Windows Server, in other words this bug only affects specific devices.

It is said that Windows Server 2022 which handles WSUS from Microsoft servers, might get an update, but for client devices using Windows 11 22H2 it seems that they will not get updates including updates cumulative this month.

“Updates released February 14, 2023 or later might not be offered from some Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) servers to Windows 11, version 22H2. The updates will download to the WSUS server but might not propagate further to client devices,” Microsoft said.

“Affected WSUS servers are only those running Windows Server 2022 which have been upgraded from Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019. This issue is caused by the accidental removal of required Unified Update Platform (UUP) MIME types during the upgrade to Windows Server 2022 from a previous version of Windows Server. This issue might affect security updates or feature updates for Windows 11, version 22H2. Microsoft Configuration Manager is not affected by this issue.” he continued.

Meanwhile, for the repair itself, Microsoft has started work on it, although there is no detail yet on when the repair will be presented.

Given that this problem doesn’t occur for general users, maybe this isn’t too much to worry about, but for you IT Admins who manage Windows Server and also manage IT devices in your office, you just have to wait for a fix from Microsoft, because after the fix is presented, everything will work. presented automatically and updates will return normally as usual.
