Even though the iPhone is sold at an expensive price, it doesn’t stop buyers from buying it. According to Apple Insider, 51% of total smartphone sales in North America in the first quarter of 2022 were iPhones.

The iPhone 13 line is the biggest contributor to this success. This achievement is quite impressive considering the current economic conditions tend to make people reduce the consumption of electronic devices that are less urgent.

Apple also recently released the new iPhone SE. Although reportedly not selling well, iPhone lovers with this old design were able to help slightly increase iPhone sales.

Under Apple, there is Samsung which controls 27% of smartphone sales in the same period. Samsung only recorded a small growth, which is only 1%.

In third position is Lenovo which is able to control 10%. Even so, Lenovo experienced an increase of more than 50% when compared to the same period last year.
