Last night Google officially introduced the Google Pixel 6a at the Google I/O 2022 event and for those of you who didn’t have time to watch the details of the launch, here are some interesting things about the device:

1. Design and Specifications 11-12 with Pixel 6

At first glance, you might think that the Pixel 6a is simply copying the design from the Pixel 6. That’s not entirely wrong, but there are some elements that are sourced from the latest generation of Pixels as well. Oh yeah, part body The back of the Pixel 6a isn’t made of glass, it’s plastic that has finishing like glass.

Then, what about the specifications?

Hmmmm, to be honest both have similar specs, but since this device is part of the “cheap” Pixel phones, it’s natural that there are some features that are circumcised like refresh rate lower and also the camera resolution is only 12MP. Here are the details:

  • Heavy (?)
  • A 6.1-inch AMOLED Flat screen with Full HD resolution with support for:

2. For sale from July 2022

via Google

Unlike its predecessor, which was unveiled late in August 2021, even though it was released 3 months earlier, in fact sales of the new Pixel 6a will occur in July — July 21, 2022 to be exact. The target market is even wider than its predecessor, if the Pixel 5a 5G is only sold in the United States and Japan, now Google will sell Pixel 6a in many countries at once such as Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and of course United States of America.

3. Prices Don’t Change

This is what will make you full smile! Google informs that there will be no price increase for the cheap Pixel series. So, the price of the Pixel 6a will certainly be exactly the same as the Pixel 5a 5G when it was first unveiled, starting at $449 or around Rp. 6.5 million.
