One of Apple’s partners, namely TSMC, is reportedly expanding outside of China to reduce dependence on China and reduce the effects of a trade war with the United States.

According to the latest news, TSMC is reportedly considering building a new factory in Singapore. They have discussed with the Singapore Government about this plan.

Singapore itself is also one of the countries where suppliers of components for Apple products do business. Call it Micron Technology which assembles flash memory for the iPhone.

TSMC prepared between $40 billion to $44 billion to build this plant. However, no decision has been made by TSMC regarding this matter.
