It’s been a few months since Microsoft released an update KB5019980 for Windows 11 and KB5019959 for Windows 10 as cumulative updates last November 2022, but today Microsoft confirmed a new issue related to both updates.

“After installing KB5019980, you might receive an error with apphelp.dll on Windows devices using Intel graphics drivers with versions 22.214.171.12463 up to 126.96.36.1990. This issue might happen intermittently and affects apps which use DirectX or Direct3D to render part or all of their content.said Microsoft.
Meanwhile, for its own fix steps, Microsoft advises users to update the intel Graphics driver with a newer version than version 188.8.131.520 which users can download directly from Intel’s official page.
