Even though Microsoft Edge Chromium is currently available as browser defaults in Windows 10 and Windows 11, but in fact its presence is still the same as in the Internet Explorer era where there are still many users who only use Edge to download Google Chrome or their respective favorite browsers.

Regarding Microsoft Edge Chromium, as reported from the page statcounter, unfortunately the development of this browser market share is very slow, where in 2022 yesterday, this browser only got an increase of around 2% from the previous 2021.

If we look at the data shared by statcounter below, in December 2021, Microsoft Edge Marketshare was at 9.22%, and one year later, namely in December 2022, the figure only increased to 10.98%, even this increase was still less than 2%, namely more precisely 1.76% during 2022.

Meanwhile, reported from NeowinGoogle Chrome is still the main choice for users, where this browser still maintains its dominance, even amidst the onslaught of promotions from Microsoft in almost all of their services.

So maybe it can be concluded that Microsoft Edge Chromium is indeed the right choice for users, it’s just that to beat Google Chrome, it’s still very far away and it may still take several years or maybe impossible if you look at the increase of less than 2% in the past year.

So I don’t know what Microsoft will do after getting the results marketplaceshare from statcounter this, would they change their strategy? give your opinion below guys.
