After Microsoft replaced its Microsoft Edge Legacy browser using the Chromium base, there are a number of features that are unfortunately not brought back, namely Set Tab Aside, Reading List and EPUB support which are not present in Microsoft Edge Chromium.

But friends, according to the latest report, it is reported that in Microsoft Edge Chromium Canary 117.0.1989.0, Microsoft has finally brought back EPUB support so that now users can open .epub format documents directly through the Edge browser.

Even so, unfortunately there is no official confirmation from Microsoft regarding this, besides that support is not present by default so users must activate it manually by adding variable following on properties from the Microsoft Edge Chromium shortcut.

--enable-features=msEdgeEpubReaderEnabled

Also, while this support is back in Edge Canary, this does not mean that it will be fully present in Microsoft Edge Chromium, as features in Canary may not be released on other Insider Channels.
