A few days ago Microsoft introduced a new font called ‘Aptos’ which will replace it calibri as default fonts in Microsoft Office. And if previously this font was only launched for some Microsoft 365 Insider users, starting today all Microsoft 365 Insider users can try this font.

For those who don’t know, Aptos itself is a font created by lead typeface designer Steve Matteson who also played an important role in creating a font that we know as “Segoe Font” which is now used as the default font in the Windows operating system since Windows Vista.

Alongside this information, Microsoft has also updated a number of other components including new defaults for backgrounds, accents, and hyperlinks, as well as some visual changes which you can see in the image below.

You can get these new Font and Visual additions after updating the Microsoft 365 Insider application to version 2308, build 16701.20000 on Windows, macOS to version 16.76, build 23070400, and Android version 16.0.16701.20000.

So for you Microsoft 365 Insider users, make sure you update to try this change.
