If you are a Youtube Premium user, you may have played music videos that run in the background, where this feature is of course very useful because we can listen to music directly via headsets with a device tucked away in a pocket or bag.

The ability to play in the background is indeed one of the cool features that comes with Youtube Premium, but sometimes Accidental Taps happen to the application when the smartphone is tucked away in a trouser or jacket pocket.

But regarding that, recently Youtube seems to have tested a capability to prevent that, according to Cord Cutters News currently testing is starting to be done by invitation only on certain Premium users.

So if you are a Youtube Premium user, if you get an invitation notification “Try new features”, you can follow the following steps to activate this feature.

  1. Tap on the profile picture in the right corner of the screen.
  2. Enter the Premium benefits page.
  3. Tap on the Try new features section.
  4. Next, in the Avoid accidental taps with Lock Screen section, tap on the Try it button to try it.

Next, to use this feature click on the icon gears while playing a video in full screen mode, then select lockscreen.

Unfortunately because I’m not a Youtube Premium subscriber, so I can’t try this step, are you a Youtube Premium user, and have you received notifications to try this new feature? comment below guys.
