Especially for you Windows Insider Beta users, recently Microsoft has released an update KB5028256 which will change the Build OS to 22621.2050 And 22631.2050.

In this update, Microsoft is bringing a number of features that were previously introduced in Insider Dev and Canary including the presence of a new Home page in File Explorer.

As in the image you can see above, this Home page will contain changes including presenting recommended content based on files stored in localstorage or in online storage.

In addition, Favorites and Recent have also been updated with experience just remember now File Explorer is powered by Windows App SDK.

Besides that, address bar And search will also know if the saved and searched files are in local or cloud folder by displaying the icon onedrive as in the picture above, if the saved file turns out to be in cloud.

Meanwhile, another change in File Explorer is present pane detail that we have known before, where now there will be a number of changes including information recent activity, and other information section pane detail when the user selects a file in explorer.

Apart from File Explorer, Microsoft is also introducing other changes in Windows 11 Insider Beta Build 22631.2050, including the Dynamic Lightning on the Settings > Personalization page.

Then experience Volume Mixers new features in Quick Settings, improvements to Windows Ink, and several other features that were previously introduced in Windows 11 Insider Dev Build 23475.

In general, this improvement was only introduced at Build 22631.2050, so Windows 11 Insider Beta users who are still using Build 22621.2050 of course haven’t gotten this change except to activate it manually using a specific ID in ViveTool.

The changes in this update are not too significant, moreover some new features such as Dynamic Lightning require a supporting device to work. But for those of you who might want to try this update, you can simply update your system to Build 22631.2050 by downloading the KB5028256 update which is available on the Settings > Windows Update page.
