In addition to Elon Musk laying off many Twitter employees, Meta (Facebook) seems ready to announce layoffs this week, where with this move, there are at least thousands of employees affected by the layoffs.

According to the Wall Street Journal, although the scale of layoffs will not be the same as Twitter, Meta will cut thousands from its current workforce, from around 90,000 globally.

With this, this is the largest round of layoffs in Meta’s corporate history in the past year, and even so, still from the same source, it seems that Meta refuses to comment on the report.

“For the first 18 years of the company, we basically grew quickly basically [sic] every year, and then more recently our revenue has been flat to slightly down for the first time. We want to make sure we’re not adding people to teams where we don’t expect to have roles next year.” Says Mark Zuckerberg.

From a business point of view, recently the value of Meta’s shares has also fallen, this is because the expensive and failed Metaverse initiative to take off, apart from that, there may be other things that Meta and the entire elite are planning.
