How To Set Passkeys For Websites In Windows 11

As we already know, start Windows 11 Insider Dev Build 23486 or later, Microsoft is bringing support for Passkeys in Windows 11, where “Passkey” is a secure alternative to changing passwords when users need to sign in to websites and apps that support this authentication mechanism.

In other words, guys, a Passkey is a token that you can create on your website account and the apps you use on Windows 11 using Windows Hello. Reportedly, this Passkey is more secure than other login methods.

Then how to set passkeys for websites and applications in Windows 11

Step 1. First, please open Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, and then enter the site that supports the method Passkey for example ebay or Google Accounts.

Step 2. In section Security, please choose Passkey or Passkey.

Step 3. Next, please click Create a passkey and follow the next prompted steps, such as entering your PIN / Windows Hello authentication method. However, it should be noted, if the device and OS do not support it, a notification will appear as shown in the following image.

If the Passkey has been created, you can later manage the Passkey saved on the page Settings > Accounts > Passkeys, exactly like in the following picture.

By using this Passkey, every time you open a website / application that you open and you have previously set it will automatically log in without having to authenticate first, it can be said that it is enough to set it up once so that in the future the device you have connected will be able to easily log in, and if requires a password, so usually you will only be asked to enter Windows Hello authentication, whether it’s a PIN, Fingerprint, or Face Recognitions, that’s great isn’t it.
