If you prefer Google Chrome because this browser is simpler than Microsoft Edge, then it’s a good idea to make the browser as your browser browser defaults especially if you actively use the browser.

Well in Windows 11, change browser defaults enough tricky because Microsoft is always trying to get users to use their newest browser, but can we still make Google Chrome the default browser? of course you can, and the steps are still very easy, here WinPoin summarizes the short steps.

Step 1. Make sure you have downloaded and installed Google Chrome.

Step 2. Then please open the page Settings > Apps > Default apps.

Step 2. Then on the part Set default for applications, please type “Google Chrome”.

Click and then please choose Default set.

So the result will be like in the following image:

Please note that not all file formats will be changed to Google Chrome, and this is a pretty annoying thing from Windows 11, because we still have to change several formats that we want to open automatically in Google Chrome, including .pdf.

But in general, with the steps above automatically Google Chrome has become our default browser, except all links available in settings and windows search will still open from Microsoft Edge Chromium.

Please try guys, hopefully useful.
