It’s been one week since Meta launched their new text based social media (Threads), where there are currently more than 100 million registered users on this social media. But besides the surge in new users, Meta too get demands from Twitter where previously Twitter accused Meta of hiring former Twitter employees to help create the “Threads” application.

Of course, these accusations have been denied and have not been proven, so these charges have not yet yielded any results. Apart from this news, recently there was a data published by Sensor Tower, where reportedly there was a decrease of 50% of the time users spend in this new application.

Previously, users reportedly spent around 20 minutes, but now it has fallen to 10 minutes in total using the Threads application. Meanwhile, according to data from SimiliarWeb, there was a 25% decrease in daily active users between July 7 and July 10, where of the total users at that time, only around 36.6 million Android users were active on this social media.

It can be concluded that even though the number of Threads users is indeed very large, most users only follow trends and don’t even actively use these applications and services after they have installed and tried them for some time, especially with the features and capabilities that are still very new and not perfect. , making the user just want to try it out.

I’ve also written a short review on Threads and you can read it on the page following.

Well are you one of them? Comment below guys, and to be honest I rarely open Threads and prefer Twitter, at least for now.
