In 2017, Microsoft released the latest generation of Surface Book which they named Surface Book 2, where you can see information about the specifications of this device in the following WinPoin article: Microsoft Releases Surface Book 2: Here are Price Details and Specifications

Devices that are powered by the Intel Gen 8 Processor and the cheapest version using Intel Gen 7, unfortunately have reached their support period, where according to the Surface Driver Lifecycle, Microsoft is starting to end support for these devices.

Will Devices Stop Getting Updates?

If the update is related to drivers and firmware, then users will no longer get the latest versions of these two for Surface Book devices, but even though support has ended, users can still get Windows updates as long as the version of Windows used is still supported.

But still, the absence of a firmware update can make this device more vulnerable to hardware-related problems, especially in the Windows 11 era which can be said to be quite prone to hardware compatibility issues.

So, do you have a Surface Book device? comment below guys.
