In Windows 11 Insider Dev Build 23493 we already know that Microsoft is bringing a number of interesting improvements in it, including a new home page and Windows Copilot. And just like the new home page, there is one feature that you may not get when you download and install it Windows 11 Insider Dev Build 23493the feature is improved snap layout in file explorer.
A little extra information, these improvements have actually been introduced in Windows 11 Build 25300, but is currently starting to roll out to Insider Dev users. And while this upgrade isn’t actually a significant improvement, it’s for the users snap layouts who rely on these features for multitasking, I think this upgrade will be very useful, why? because with this improvement later we can see templates in the layout snap which will be automatically selected by Windows 11, exactly like in the following image.
So have you got this upgrade? if not, don’t worry guys, because we can force it using ViveTool as usual, and here WinPoin summarizes the short steps.
Step 1. First make sure you have used Windows 11 Insider Dev Build 23493.
Step 2. Then download and extract the ViveTool application available on the GitHub page following.
Step 3. Next, please open PowerShell or Command Prompt As Administrator, enter the Directory where you have the ViveTool extract is, then enter the following command:
.vivetool /enable /id:44470355,42105254,42500395,39146010
Step 4. After that, please restart Windows 11 you and please pay attention to the section snap layouts, now it should have changed by presenting the snap template as shown in the following image.
