Google officially held the Google I/O 2022 event last Thursday. One of the announcements was a new Google Maps feature called “Immersive View”.

Immersive View is a new feature that allows users to see views of cities, villages, or other areas immersively. It’s as if bringing the user around the city using a drone.

This Immersive View feature uses billions of photos to model buildings, places, and trees in 3D using machine learning technology.

Although cool features like this don’t exist in Apple Maps, don’t worry because Google Maps for iOS users will still get this cool feature.

It’s just that this feature is only available in some cities or regions. Some areas such as Los Angeles, New York, Tokyo, and San Francisco will be the first to get it.
