As a Google Chrome user on Linux Ubuntu which is my current main OS, of course I will always update Google Chrome after the latest update releases become available. But when the browser has been updated and is using the latest version 114, there is one thing I don’t like, what is it?, let’s discuss it.

Well aside from the change padlock icon which was rumored to be changed in May 2023, you can read the article on the following page: The Lock Icon in Google Chrome’s Address Bar Will Change, Here’s Why!

There is one change that I don’t like, namely size text in section omnibox or what we usually call it address barso after updating the text size is smaller and less pleasant to look at, especially on a small screen with a large resolution.

And guys, even though changing the Font size to be bigger than the Settings page. Appearance > Font size and even change the Zoom setting, section this text has not changed and is still small as shown in the following figure.

For some people, maybe this is not a problem, but in my opinion, the size that is too small is unpleasant to look at, especially if we use it often address bar for various purposes.

Now the question is, on Windows 11 that I use, Google Chrome’s appearance is still the same and has changed as it was on Google Chrome 113 before. Where even though it still appears with the old icon, the text size is on address bar impressed right in my eyes.

So, it seems that this change is still being rolled out by Google in stages, but have you encountered something similar? Comment below guys and give your opinion on this? do you have a solution too? comment yes.
