OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT technology has announced a program bug bounties for para security researcher and para white hackers in the world, with that, OpenAI has partnered with the Bug Bounty Platform BugCrowd who will handle the submission process and prizes for the participants.
The prize itself is quite large, where there are various monetary incentives which will be based on the severity and impact of reported vulnerabilities, bugs and security flaws, there is at least a cash prize starting at $200 USD for finding low severity bugs and increasing up to $20,000. USD for an extraordinary severity finding.
And according to the page announcement officially, submissions have a turnaround time of around three hours and around 75% of entries are accepted or rejected within that timeframe.
Meanwhile, the list of eligible targets for the bounty includes ChatGPT, OpenAI APIs, OpenAI websites, and more, and at the time of writing, at least 23 security holes had been discovered for a total prize pool of $1,054.54
