Recently, as reported by WABetaInfo, it seems that WhatsApp is developing a feature called “Chat Transfers”, where this feature will allow users to backup directly from an Android device to Android again directly without having to go through Google Drive first.

Named feature Chat transfers this itself is now reportedly starting to be tested on WhatsApp Beta 2.23.1.26, and with that users will find the option Chat transfer to Android in Settings > Chat as shown below.

So it looks like in the picture above, users can backup chats and transfer them to other Android devices using only the QRCode, and of course this makes it easier for users without having to back up chats and media to Google Drive first as it is now.

Then can this feature work to transfer chat and media from iPhone to Android or vice versa?, unfortunately this is still a question, considering that this feature is currently still being developed, but in the future with the presence transfer chat this, it does not rule out the possibility that later users can back up chats and media more easily and flexibly between two different mobile operating systems.
