An interesting news is here for Microsoft Edge Chromium users, where Microsoft seems to want to increase the security of this browser by making balanced mode the default feature. enhanced their flagship browser security mode.

In other words, if currently the automatic mode is set to Basic, it will be featured later enhanced security mode will automatically set to balanced where users no longer need to adjust these settings from the settings page as usual.

"Enhanced security mode is being turned on by default to “Balanced” mode for x64 Windows, x64 macOS, x64 Linux, and ARM64 systems. Also, administrators have 2 new policies to manage the Enhanced security mode user experience: EnhanceSecurityModeIndicatorUIEnabled and EnhanceSecurityModeOptOutUXEnabled."

Why did Microsoft set the mode of this feature to balanced? According to Microsoft, Balanced mode is the most suitable mode because it is adaptive and adjusts to user behavior, however even so users can still set this mode to options strict for extra security enhancements.

"Balanced mode is an adaptive mode that builds on user's behavior on a particular device, and Microsoft's understanding of risk across the web to give sites that users are most likely to use and trust full access to the web platform, while limiting what new and unfamiliar sites can do when visited." ungkap Microsoft.

When will this change start?, based on roadmap Microsoft 365, this change will begin rolling out in July 2023, where Microsoft Edge users will gradually get this change.

So do you prefer mode balanced or strict? comment below guys.
