A Brief Review After Trying “Aria” – Opera’s Generative AI

Maybe you have read my previous article where it was rumored that Opera One Now Available For Download where from a number of new features introduced, I am more interested in their generative AI feature which they call Aria. is this AI better than Bing Chat or Bard?.

Aria itself is now available by default as part of the Sidebar of Opera One or Opera version 100 or newer, where to use Aria, you must log in using the Opera account that you previously had, if you don’t have one you can easily register for an Opera account. through the Settings page.

Aria’s Basic Ability

According to information from the official Opera page, Aria is a generative AI that is completely free, available in more than 180 countries, quick access in the Opera sidebar and most importantly providing the latest information.

As for its basic capabilities, according to my test results, Aria works like generative AI in general, similar to Bing Chat, ChatGPT and Bard, only different from Bing Chat which is limited and also Bard and ChatGPT which are not integrated in the browser, Aria is in my opinion I could be said to have what other generative AIs lack.

Surprising AI Answers

So as an experiment, I tried information about my own name on ChatGPT vs Aria, where ChatGPT, which does have limited information, could not provide any answer.

However, quite surprising results appeared in Aria, where it turned out that my data was there, even though it was general data that could be found on various social media.

Even after I searched for information about Febian, it turned out that there was information that I didn’t know, what an extraordinary technology.

Okay out of curiosity, will Bing Chat show the same information too? let’s try.

The answer from Bing Chat is not bad, but in my opinion the answer from Aria seems more relaxed and easier to look at, besides that the information that is displayed is quite accurate and updated, although unfortunately I haven’t found any information regarding search engines what is integrated with Aria, is it Google or Bing? or something else, for those who don’t know, comment below guys.

But what is certain is that Aria is powered by technology based on OpenAI, where Aria is made based on the GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) model developed by OpenAI. The GPT model is a neural network model that is massively trained on various natural language processing tasks such as language modeling, machine translation, and named entity recognition. Aria uses the GPT model to understand and process human language, so it can respond better and more naturally.

But there are things that make Aria different from ChatGPT in several aspects. One of them, as I have said, is that Aria integrates directly with the Opera browser, offering real-time access to the internet, including time and weather data. Its unique Highlight Tooltip and Command Line feature allows for smoother browsing, makes searching for information easy, and certainly Aria is completely free.

Aria Has Supported Many Countries, Including Indonesia

So if you don’t like English conversations, Aria supports more than 180 countries, except for the following countries:

Afghanistan, Bahrain, Belarus, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, China, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini (fmr. “Swaziland”), Ethiopia, Hong Kong, Iran , Laos, Libya, Macau, North Korea, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine (specifically Crimea & LNR/DNR), Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Yemen, Vietnam, Zimbabwe.

For those of you Android users who want to use Aria technology, you can download and use the latest Opera which is currently available on the Google Play Store, just make sure you have logged in with your Opera account to continue using Aria services.

Conclusion

Aria can be said to be quite good and able to compete with Bing Chat, Bard and even ChatGPT, the results of the answers are quite good and can be said to be fun for us to use, and of course Aria will get even better in the future because Opera says Aria will learn and develop over time.
