According to Microsoft’s claims, the arrival of Rust to the Windows Kernel will not take too long, where it only takes a few weeks or months, and time goes by, it seems that Rust is starting to be added to the Windows Kernel.

As Twitter user Mark Russinovich discovered, Rust Code is now available on Windows 11 Insiders, as the Win32k.sys file has been ported to Rust. And for those who don’t know, Win32k.sys is responsible for handling graphical device interface (GDI) and Windows Management in Windows OS.

In a previous presentation by David Weston, he explained that there are many reasons why Microsoft is interested in Rust on Windows and one of them is for memory security.
