The Files application or File App is one of the popular applications in the Microsoft Store, where previously this application had features tags what many users have asked for, File App is an application with a myriad of features that are not available in Windows 11’s default File Explorer.
Now one of the improvements is back in File App in version 2.5, where this application is now getting implementation acrylic material whereby the user can switch between Mica and Acrylic according to the user’s own wishes.
To change options background material, in the Files application, you can click on the icon settings > then select Appearance > then select Acrylic.
And here is the appearance of Acrylic Material in the Files application, where everything looks more transparent.
Well how? Do you prefer Mica or Acrylic? For me, to be honest I prefer Mica because it looks more pleasing to my eyes.
Also comes with Gesture support
Apart from presenting options acrylic material, the Files 2.5 application also gets gesture support where users can interact by using gestures on touchpad that the user has, for example as shown in the following figure.
With this gesture support, users can switch pages more quickly using only gestures from the touchpad, including for navigation back/forward.
