There is an interesting news for you Ubuntu OS users, where according to information from OMG! Ubuntu, Ubuntu 23.10 will get exactly the same features as Windows 10 and Windows 11, namely the ability to perform snap four window / window to every corner of the screen.
Now for those of you who don’t know, currently Ubuntu only supports snapping two windows to the left or right of the screen, as shown in the following image:
But later, Ubuntu 23.10 will implement gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-tiling-assistant by default so a snap of four windows is possible.
And even though we can actually use this feature now and manage it independently by installing it gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-tiling-assistant manually, but with the presence of this extension by default it will certainly add convenience to users.
In my opinion, this four-window snap feature is quite suitable, especially if you are a user with a high-resolution screen or with a screen ultra-wideand if you were previously a Windows 10 / 11 user who was used to this feature, with the presence of the same features in Ubuntu, then those of you who want to migrate to this OS can find it easier to adjust.
What do you think? are you also an Ubuntu user? comment below guys.
