Still Buggy, WinAppSDK in Explorer.exe is Slow and Sluggish in Windows 11

As we already know, Microsoft plans to update the explorer.exe component with the latest WinAppSDK (WinUI 3) and replace WinUI 2 which currently powers explorer.exe.

With the presence of the latest WinAppSDK, of course there will be more features that Microsoft will present in explorer.exe, including the new Gallery that will be present in File Explorer.

But regarding this WinAppSDK, maybe because it’s still part of the Preview and it’s still in early testing, of course this makes explorer.exe slower and sluggish, where the animation and appearance of options available in explorer will be a little slower to appear when compared to WinUI version 2.

So, for example, like in the video above, where does it appear context menu it feels slower if WinAppSDK has been activated, the same is the case with File Explorer, where the animation of the menu appearing is slower and not spontaneous.

But of course, because the WinAppSDK feature is still in testing, this is not a problem, and of course this is also not a problem if the user is used to and even more accustomed to such a slow animation system, but if you don’t like it, the user can turn off the animation. in Windows 11 via the Settings page for the spontaneous appearance of the display component from explorer.exe.
