After yesterday it was reported that Microsoft started developing a new Outlook application, and even the leaks have started to spread widely, but it turns out that the application that leaked yesterday is very different from what was planned which is now starting to roll out.
For selected Insider users, you can already use the new Outlook on Microsoft Office Beta Version 2205 with build 15225.20000 or later and must use a work/school account.
Now, apart from information about this new Outlook version, Microsoft is also available showing how is the user interface of this application, and in fact this application is very minimalist by bringing a Windows 11-style design.
So that’s a little view of the new Outlook application, the appearance is quite different when compared to the application that was leaked yesterday, besides that there are also a number of new additional features such as a feature to easily find important documents, intelligent assistance, and of course the To-Do list feature has also been integrated.
It should also be noted that this new version of Outlook is still in early Beta status, and there are still many functions that are not yet available, some of which include:
Features still under development
- Multiple accounts
- Offline
- Account Support (@outlook.com)
- Account support (Gmail, Yahoo!, iCloud and other IMAP accounts)
- Search in folders
- Will be checked
- POP support
Planned features
- Outlook data (.pst)
- Sharing and shared mailboxes
- Reorganization of folders
Well if you are a lucky Office Insider user, you might already be able to try and get this new Outlook application, just make sure you are using version 2205 (Build 15225.20000) or a newer version.
In my own opinion, this Outlook application is more interesting than the one that was leaked to the public yesterday, all this of course because the design it brings is very suitable when juxtaposed with Windows 11. What do you think? comment below guys.
