Through official pageMicrosoft announced that end of life of Windows 10 21H1 will end on December 13, 2022, which is more than a month from now.
Where after end of life reached, Windows 10 21H1 users will no longer receive the update security and other system fixes, and with that users are prompted to upgrade to a version that is still supported by Microsoft.
In addition, Mabel Gomes, Senior Communications Program Manager at Microsoft, published a new article on page Microsoft Techcommunity which reminds the user of the same.
And reported from the same page, while the Windows 10 21H1 device will be automatically updated to the latest Windows version that is still supported by Microsoft, Microsoft also reminds users that Windows 11 is available for users to get if the device used is eligible.
“Windows 11, version 22H2 – also known as the Windows 11 2022 Update – is available to you on eligible Windows devices. Just check for updates as explained on the Windows Update support pages. Please note, if we detect that your devices might have an issue, such as an application incompatibility, we might put a safeguard hold in place and not offer the update until that issue is resolved. Find information regarding safeguard holds on the Windows 11, version 22H2 known issues and notifications page, which is part of the Windows release health experiences.” Says Mabel Gomes through the page Techcommunity.
Windows 11 technically does have many advantages and spectacular changes, and users are recommended to update their system to the latest version of Windows OS, but keep in mind that the system requirements are also higher, where in addition to minimum requirements which Microsoft specifies, users must at least have at least 8 GB of RAM and SSD so that Windows 11 runs better and smoother without any problems.
