As previously reported, Windows 11 will get the feature end task without having to enter the Task Manager first, where later users can close and stop applications directly via the Taskbar.

And after quite a long presence as a rudimentary internal test, it’s finally here Windows 11 Insider Dev Build 23466, we can already try and activate this feature. And if you’re curious, here are the steps you can take to enable End Task on the Windows 11 Insider Dev Channel Taskbar.

Step 1. First, make sure you are using Windows 11 Insider Dev Build 23466.

Step 2. After your system has been updated, please go to Settings > System > For Developers and activate “Developer Mode” and activate the “End Task” option available on the same page.

Step 3. After it’s finished, you can now try it right away end task application directly from the Taskbar, the appearance is more or less like in the following image.

With this capability, of course it will be easier for users to close applications via End Task without having to enter the Task Manager first, where this step can be said to be faster and simpler than before.
