Previously it was reported that Google Pixel Users Get Early Access For Bards where this access has been granted starting last week on a limited basis, the presence of Bard certainly makes this technology from Google one of the rivals of Bing Chat which uses ChatGPT technology in collaboration with OpenAI.
And regarding Bard, there is some interesting news that recently came from former Google AI researcher Jacob Devlin where he allegedly warned Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai that Bard was indirectly harvesting data from ChatGPT.
Reported from The InformationsDevlin specifically stated that Bard’s development team accessed a website named ShareGPT , where the ChatGPT conversations of the users are then posted for all to see. However, finding the news has been circulating, Google spokesman Chris Pappas quickly sent a statement to The Verges which says, “Bard is not trained on any data from ShareGPT or ChatGPT.”
Meanwhile, based on undisclosed information, the AI team from Google has joined hands with DeepMind, another AI company under the auspices of Alphabet, where the two groups are reportedly working together on a new project codenamed Gemini. The project’s goal is to produce a product to compete with OpenAI’s efforts.
The existence of the report seems to indicate that Google wants another chatbot if their efforts to bring in Bard fail.
So, until now, Bard’s presence is still in question, considering that Google seems to continue to develop and improve Bard due to the previous case, is Bard really going to be ready for a public release as they planned? Everything is still a mystery, and what do you think? please give your opinion in the comments column below.
