Generally when we enter a network connection either via Wi-Fi or a network cable connection, we will be asked to select an available network profile, either domain, private, or public.

Each of these profiles has its own advantages and disadvantages, for example private will make your device easy to find, allowing sharing of files, printers and other resources on devices you already trust, in the meantime public will make your device not easy to find on the local network, where this profile is suitable for use in public places such as cafes, libraries and other public places, while for domain, This profile will be automatically selected when the device is joined Active Directory domains.

Then can we change it as we like in Windows 11 ?, of course you can, guys, and the steps are really easy, here are the short steps.

Step 1. First, please open Settings > Network & internet

Step 2. Then choose connection you use, for example ethernet and then please choose Network profile type.

Well as in the picture above, by default I’m connected to the profile public network, but since I’m at home, I just change it to private where it adapts to the needs of my device.

Meanwhile, for connection Wi-Fi more or less the same steps, where you enter to properties from networks known Wi-Fi you and then choose network profile type as in the step above.

How? very easy right? actually there are other, more challenging steps where we can use Windows Powershell, but maybe those steps will be made in a separate article.

Comment below guys, do you like to organize network profiles Manually?
