Microsoft as we know has started moving a number of important parts of the Control Panel on its new Settings page since the era of Windows 10, this is really needed to change the Windows OS to be more consistent in the main parts of the system.

Now in Windows 11 22H2, there are a number of Control Panel sections that Microsoft has moved back to the Settings page, where they include:

  • Programs & Features will now be directed directly to the page Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
  • Uninstall Windows Update from the Control Panel will now be directed to the Settings page.
  • A number of entry points in the Network and Devices section of the Control Panel will now be directed to the Settings page.
  • Advanced Sharing Settings can now be done on the Settings page, including Network discovery, File and printer sharing, and Public folder sharing.

So that’s a number of parts of the Control Panel that were moved in Windows 11 22H2, and of course in the future there will be other parts that will be moved until finally the old-school Control Panel will be abandoned.

What do you think? comment below guys.
