Rufus 3.22 Beta Remove Windows 7 ISO Download Option and Disable BitLocker

Rufus, who doesn’t know this application, because since the presence of the option to bypass the installation of Windows 11, this application has become increasingly popular among users, because with Rufus, we can create usb installers from various OS, including Windows and Linux.

Now in the latest Rufus version 3.22 Beta which was released a few days ago, Rufus introduced a number of new changes including removing the option to download Windows 7 ISO files, whereby we can no longer download ISO OS files from Rufus as usual.

Apart from that, there is another interesting thing, guys, where now Rufus gets the ability to disable Bitlocker, where if this option is activated and selected by the user, then Bitlocker encryption in the Windows User Experience dialog will automatically be disabled.

And of course, because it is present in the Beta version, Rufus still has a number of shortcomings and bugs when compared to the usual Stable version, for example as explained above, where we can still get the Windows 7 ISO download option, but even so, this version also comes with a number of repairs that include:

• Add SHA-1 and SHA-256 x86 acceleration on CPUs that support it
• Add an option to disable BitLocker device encryption in the Windows User Experience dialog
• Add a cheat mode (Ctrl-P) to preserve the log between sessions
• Fix potential media creation errors by forcing the unmount of stale .wim images
• Fix potential access errors in ISO → ESP mode by forcing Large FAT32 formatting
• Fix user-specified label not being preserved on error/cancel
• Fix some large SSD devices being listed by default
• Fix processing of Rock Ridge CE fields
• Work around the use of Rock Ridge symbolic links for Linux firmware packages (Debian)
• Remove the ISO download feature on Windows 7
