Sometimes there are cases where when we are going to install Windows, be it Windows 7, 8, 10 and even 11, when selecting storageit doesn’t exist hard disk, or ssd read there.
Regarding this, there are several things that could be the cause of the unreadability storage devices during the Windows installation process, and some of them include: Bootable USB Windows turns out to be Corrupt, Plugged in the wrong USB port, wrong BIOS configuration, or Storage it is indeed broken.
Of the four things I mentioned above, the most common in my case is bootable USB turned out to be corruptwrong USB plug (especially for old devices, and wrong BIOS configuration. Let’s discuss everything guys.
Use the Official ISO File and Make sure the Bootable Creation Process is 100% Successful
In the process of making a Bootable USB, make sure you use a trusted application, I usually use Rufus because Rufus already supports Bypass TPM and Secure Boot for Windows 11 Installation, besides that, make sure you also use the Official ISO file that you get from the OS site.

In addition, in the process of downloading the ISO file, make sure the process is successful, because if a failure occurs, even if it is only 0.01, the ISO file is confirmed to be corrupt.
If these two things are confirmed to be successful, then it should be storage devices read perfectly during the Windows installation process.
Try Moving the Flashdrive to Another USB Port
If it turns out that the points above don’t work, you can try moving the USB port to another available port on your device, usually the USB 3.0 port is sometimes the cause storage devices it is not legible, especially if the device used is a device with an Intel Processor Gen 4 and below, for example in my case it is an Intel Core i3 4160 with a Gigabyte H81M Motherboard.
For new devices, the USB port should no longer be a problem, but this point can be a solution for you to try too, guys.
Make sure the BIOS configuration is correct
So first in the BIOS Setup, make sure the HDD Controller is in the AHCI position, if it turns out to be in the Disabled position, please change it.
Now from the three things above, of course making sure whether the Storage that we will use is still good or not, please check the BIOS and select Storage Device, is the HDD / SSD not detected? if it doesn’t, then all of the points above of course will not work to solve the problem, but if there is, you can try the solutions above guys.
Is there any other solution? comment below guys.
