Recently, when I was exploring something in the Windows 11 Insider Beta Build 22623.1028 File Explorer that I was using, more precisely in the section folder options > Launch Folder Windows in a Separate Processit seems that option does not work for me enable or disabled.
Well these options, when I enable or disabled and my device restarted, then it goes back to all position and the settings don’t work properly.
Then the question is whether this is a bug? and do non Insider Windows 11 users also experience the same thing? maybe you can try to comment below guys.
But to get over it not too difficult anyway, after navigating on registry editor and look for the “SeparateProcess” section, which it’s located in HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerAdvancedwe can change the settings disable / enable Launch Folder Windows in a Separate Process through the registry editor, guys.
Simply by changing the value dword 32 bit value from SeparateProcess to 0 for disabled and 1 for enabled, after rebooting the system, the settings were successfully applied and installed without returning to the previous settings.
But the strange thing is, for some reason if we do the settings via Folder Options, the settings will return to the position before we changed them. Now, for more details, maybe I will explain in the following video.
I’m also curious whether this is a bug or not?, considering that this isn’t listed as a known issue in the Windows 11 Insider Beta that I’m using. If you find the same thing, you can make settings via the Registry Editor as above, guys.
