RDR 2 or Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the best games from Rockstar because besides presenting a very realistic Open World view, this game has an interesting storyline for users to follow.
Now regarding RDR2 games, recently there has been a lot of news circulating that after installing the Preview update KB5023774 for Windows 11 21H2, users actually experienced failures to run these games via Rockstar Launcher, and of course not long after the problem was revealed, Microsoft confirm problem and they are currently investigating the problem.
"After installing KB5023774 or later updates, Red Dead Redemption 2 might not open. When attempting to open it from the Rockstar Games Launcher by selecting the "Play" button, it will switch to "Loading", but Red Dead Redemption 2 might not open, and the button will revert to "Play"." ungkap Microsoft.
Apart from that, what is interesting about this bug confirmation is that Microsoft has also added a completion step by which users must upgrade to Windows 11 22H2.
"To mitigate this issue, you can upgrade to Windows 11, version 22H2. If you are interested in moving to Windows 11, version 22H2, open Windows Update settings and select Check for updates. If your device is ready, you will see the option to Download and install."
So, this problem seems to occur specifically in Windows 11 21H2 provided that users have updated their system with the KB5023774 update which will change the OS Build to 22000.1761, but of course if you don’t want to encounter this problem, it is recommended that you skip the preview of this update before the official fix is released by Microsoft in the future.
Or if you want to follow Microsoft’s steps, you can update your system to Windows 11 22H2 if you have already updated the system and don’t want to downgrade it again.
