In addition to releasing new updates for the users Windows 11 Insider Betatoday Microsoft also released the latest Windows 11 Insider Canary Build 25324 which of course presents a number of improvements in it.

Now there are quite a lot of improvements presented, some of which may have been introduced in Insider Dev and Beta which were released earlier, and of course several new features have been reported from rumors that have been circulating for a long time, such as the presence of the USB 4 page in the Settings application. Windows 11, the presence of an option to display seconds in the system tray, so that the most interesting and the highlight of this build is the presence of SHA-3 support in Windows 11.

Okay, because there are quite a lot of them, it’s a good idea for WinPoin to discuss what features and improvements are present in Windows 11 Insider Canary 25324, here are some of them.

The presence of the USB4 page in Settings

This feature was also previously introduced in Insider Dev yesterday and reintroduced in Insider Beta todaywhere on the Settings page (especially devices that support USB4, there will appear a separate page and display the details of the connected device).

Regarding these new capabilities and options, please note that these new options will only be available to systems that already have support for USB 4, so if your device does not have USB 4 support, this page will not appear. To see if your system supports USB4, you can open Device Manager and make sure that there is already a USB4 host router as shown in the following image.

Copy & Paste Password Warning For Work & School Accounts

Especially for you Work & School account users, Microsoft has added improvements to the Windows Security > App & browser control > Reputation-based protection > Phishing protection page, where when a user tries to use the same password and it may have been leaked, Microsoft will later give a warning like in the following figure.

SHA-3 support

In this build, Microsoft has also introduced SHA-3 support which has been enabled through the Windows CNG Library, which includes:

  • Supported SHA-3 hash functions: SHA3-256, SHA3-384, SHA3-512 (SHA3-224 is not supported)
  • Supported SHA-3 HMAC algorithms: HMAC-SHA3-256, HMAC-SHA3-384, HMAC-SHA3-512
  • Supported SHA-3 derived algorithms: extendable-output functions (XOF) (SHAKE128, SHAKE256), customizable XOFs (cSHAKE128, cSHAKE256), and KMAC (KMAC128, KMAC256, KMACXOF128, KMACXOF256).

You can see detailed information about SHA-3 here.

Other Improvements

In addition to the three things above, there are other improvements that Microsoft presents which includes the presence of new animations in Widgets which are currently limited to the Weather and Finance widgets, in addition to the presence of the Bing Chat experience in Windows Search (which of course requires Microsoft Edge), improved IME language China, the removal of the Microsoft Support Diagnostic Tool, and the presence of a camera option for Windows Hello users.

Now the most interesting thing is that Microsoft has improved the performance of the Windows 11 File Explorer.

You can get all of these improvements directly via the Settings page > Windows Update > Check for Updates, and then download and install Windows 11 Insider Canary Build 25324 there.

But all WinPoin friends, keep in mind that because at this time the new features are just above (except support for USB4 pages and those that have been introduced in Insider Dev), everything may not be released considering that this is an initial trial before Microsoft finally decides to move it to the Insider version. others are more stable.

So that’s all the news for the latest Windows Insider Canary users, make sure you download it to get the above improvements.
