For you Xbox Controller collectors, maybe you should know this because some time ago Microsoft introduced a new Wireless Xbox Controller which they call the Remix Special Edition.
The Remix Special Edition itself is said to be made from various recycled plastic materials, including from CDs, Water Jugs, and other Controller parts.
According to Microsoft, the presence of this new Controller is so they can have a good impact on this planet by reducing plastic waste, which is currently too much.
"We aspire to create a future of gaming in a world that we want to play in. Earth Day is just around the corner, and it provides all of us with a special opportunity to reflect on how we can improve our impact on the planet. To celebrate this year, we’ve created an Xbox controller that features recovered plastics with one-third of it made from regrind and reclaimed materials."
If it’s made from recycled materials, it’s incomplete if the Xbox Controller still uses disposable batteries, and that’s also what’s interesting about this Remix Special Edition, because Microsoft presents this Xbox Controller with battery support that users can refill.
By using recycled materials, the Remix Special Edition is not cheap, at least to get it you have to spend $84.99 USD.
This price includes the Xbox Controller Rechargeable Battery Package which can last up to 30 hours of use.
How interested in buying a new Xbox Controller that uses a rechargeable battery and is made from recycled materials? if so you can buy it on preorder from the Xbox page followingThis product will also be available on April 18, 2023.
