A new feature seems to be being developed by WhatsApp and has already begun to be tested, where this feature is the ability to hide the Online status on our account.
Now as we know, currently if we are opening the WhatsApp application, other users who are on our friends list in our contacts will see the Online status, indeed previously we could hide the Last Seen status, but Online status is still not possible.
At least that’s for now, because in the future it can happen and you can add even better privacy options on WhatsApp by hiding your Online status on WhatsApp.
“It will be possible to configure who can see when we are online right within our last seen settings thanks to two new options: “Everyone” and “Same as Last Seen”. For example, if you choose “My contacts” for “Last Seen” and “Same as Last Seen” for “online”, it means non-contacts won’t be able to see when you’re online.”
Well, it looks more or less like in the picture above, where the user will get the option later “Who can see when I’m online” in the Settings > Privacy WhatsApp application.
