Earlier this month we got the news that Microsoft Edge gets a ‘Discover’ Feature which once again I say that this feature is not needed by everyone and tends to be hated by many users.

So for now, the new Discover feature is only available to Microsoft Edge Chromium Beta users with version 111, but it is possible that this feature will be presented to everyone in the stable release of Microsoft Edge Chromium v.111 which is planned to be available next month.

If you don’t like this feature, at least for now (when this article was written), we can still hide this feature via parameters that we can add, and if you’re curious, here WinPoin summarizes the short steps.

Step 1. First, please right-click your Microsoft Edge Chromium Beta > then select Properties.

Step 2. Then on the part target, Please add the following variable right next to the closing parenthesis.

--disable-features=msUndersideButton

Click OK and click continue if there is notification to use Administrator access. And when it’s finished, now Microsoft Edge Beta will no longer display the Discover menu on the side of the browser.

So, please try it, guys, and I hope this article is useful. Btw, we don’t know if this step will work in the future, considering that the Discover feature is still being tested, but I do hope that Microsoft will come up with a feature to disable this useless feature.

thanks to: YanDhika for the information and tips.
