But friends, it turns out that not all users get this change, where currently only selected users get this change. However, if you want to get this change, you can actually do a little editing experimental flags of course, and here are the short steps.
Step 1. First, please make sure you are using Google Chrome 114.
Step 2. Then please enter experimental flags by entering chrome://flags on the address bar.
Step 3. Then please search “Chrome Refresh 2023” and then you activate / set to enabled.
If so, please you relaunch Your Google Chrome and now you will get changes in Google Chrome, the appearance is as shown in the following image:
The most obvious change is removing the padlock icon in the address bar, which it has announced several last month on the grounds that currently almost all sites have used the HTTPS protocol, but that does not mean that the site is safe to browse on Google Chrome, follows Google’s statement.
"This misunderstanding is not harmless — nearly all phishing sites use HTTPS, and therefore also display the lock icon. Misunderstandings are so pervasive that many organizations, including the FBI, publish explicit guidance that the lock icon is not an indicator of website safety."
So with that, Google decided to change the icon with a new icon, as well as several other changes such as the size of the text in the address bar icon which is now more modern and others.
Please try it guys, and what do you think about this change? comment below.
