As previously reported, Microsoft is presenting a new feature in Windows 11 Insider Dev Build 25247, where later when a user uses VPN access, the Network icon in the System Tray will change with the Secure logo.

But until now, the change doesn’t seem to be available for all users, so we have to activate it manually. And as usual we can use ViveTool to activate this feature, and here are the short steps guys.

Step 1. First, please download ViveTool which you can get from the page following.

Step 2. Next Extract the ViveTool that you downloaded, and please open the Command Prompt as Administrator.

Step 3. Next, in the Command Prompt, please enter the ViveTool directory that you extracted.

Step 4. Next, please enter the following command in the ViveTool that you have opened with the Command Prompt.

./vivetool /enable /id:38113452


Step 5. Finally, please restart your Windows 11 Insider Dev Channel, and now the Network icon will change if you use VPN access, for example as shown below:
