As previously announced, officially, Microsoft has released Windows 11 22H2 Moment 2 Update which in this update there are a number of additional features that are presented for Windows 11, and there is one interesting and quite surprising addition because it was not included in the rumors that were present in yesterday’s Insider Preview release, namely the presence of Phone Link for iPhone.
Even though the presence of Phone Link for iPhone is still a feature for now previews and specifically for those of you who are registered as Windows Insiders, but of course this is an interesting thing and makes Phone Link not limited to only being present on Android.
Reporting from Microsoft’s official page, for those of you who are members of the Windows Insider Program (both Release Preview, Beta and Dev), you can update your Phone Link application via the Microsoft Store and get version 1.23012.169.0 or newer to get support for iOS. or iPhones.
The release is done in stages
Please note, this preview version of Phone Link will be released by Microsoft gradually this week to a small number of Insiders, and then will be expanded in the coming weeks.
And if you are a lucky person and get this preview version, when you open Phone Link, you will get different options, whether you will connect Android or iPhone.

Based on the information released by Microsoft for now, Phone Link for iPhone has more limited features compared to Android, where besides we only get information about battery capacityand notifications from the iPhone, we can only make calls and messages, the rest are still not available.
Meanwhile, for the pairing method, as disclosed by Microsoft, after you select the iPhone option in Windows 11 Phone Link, you will receive a number of steps to connect the iPhone via QrCode and then allow various accesses such as Bluetooth and others.
After choosing iPhone, the guided installation will kick off to pair your iPhone. You will be directed to follow a set of steps that will guide you to pair your iPhone and PC over Bluetooth. This will initiate after you scan a QR code shown on your screen, and then move on to the confirmation steps that helps us confirm the phone and PC are in range. During this step, you will be asked to confirm the code in Phone Link matches the code shown on your iPhone. Once you complete pairing, you’ll be asked to grant a set of permissions that allow us to get all your favorite content sync’d over to Phone Link.
