Recently, shocking news circulated where it was reported that a Microsoft employee activated Windows 10 on a customer’s device using a crack.

Let’s first explain how this could happen, where initially a user named Wesley Pyburn (@TCNOco) from south Africa bought a copy of Windows 10 Pro from the Microsoft Store for $200, where after installing, he tried to activate the OS with the Official Key he bought, but the activation failed.

Wesley Pyburn then contacted technical support but in fact they couldn’t help Wesley Pyburn, until finally a member of Offical Microsoft Support contacted Wesley Pyburn again and then they exchanged access using Quick Assist until finally the Technical Support opened several commands to activate Windows 10 with the tool an unofficial one to bypass the Windows Activation process.

As in the image shared by Wesley Pyburn above, it is clear that what is being used is the Microsoft Activation Script which we can get for free from GitHub, and of course for Wesley Pyburn who has paid $200 for the original license, knowing that his device was activated using a crack made him disappointed. , and what’s even more disappointing is that this was done by the Microsoft Support Agent himself.

And as confirmation, Wesley Pyburn then contacted the author of the tool used and of course the author replied that the software he was using was not official from Microsoft and was not legal, and interestingly it turned out that the same report had also happened, where Microsoft Support Agent had previously used his tool to activate Windows OS.

Microsoft’s answer on this?

Bleeping Computer who also knew about this immediately contacted Microsoft that he knew, where Microsoft answered officially that the method used was contrary to Microsoft’s own policy and Microsoft would try to investigate this matter.
