1. Stop the process with Task Manager
Stopping the YourPhone or Phone Link application using the Task Manager is a solution that can be said to be quite powerful. When an application starts to eat up your CPU resources, it will make your PC slower which as a result the computer becomes freeze.
To stop the application using the Task Manager, you can follow these steps:
- Press Win+X or Ctrl+Alt+Del simultaneously and then select Task Manager
- If the Task Manager window appears, all you have to do is select Phone Link
- Then just click the End task button
2. Stop Phone Link from running in the background
The Phone Link app runs in the background simultaneously to give you a smoother user experience. Whenever your phone gets close to the computer, it will connect to the PC automatically. However, if it actually consumes your CPU resources excessively, then you can disable it.
- Press Win+I to open Windows Settings.
- Go to Apps > Apps & features
- Select Phone Link and then click the three dots (more) button
- If you have selected Advanced options and expand the list of options
- Then select the option Never
3. Update Phone Link app

4. Fix or Reset Phone Link
