With the release Windows 11 Insider Dev Build 25201we know that there is Three Hidden Changes in Windows 11 Insider Dev Build 25201which includes display changes Rename this PC, Date & time picker, and Search in File Explorer.

But friends, besides that there are also other changes that you can activate using ViveTool in Windows 11 Insider Dev Build 25201, namely the ability to display notification badges on Widgets in Windows 11.

Now it looks more or less like in the picture above, where if there is a notification in the widget that you have, it will appear there badge in the form of a number that shows how many notifications you have not seen.

This capability is actually not new, as Microsoft has started testing this change since Windows 11 Insider Build 25158, but with the arrival of Build 25201, the badge for Widgets is already available to more Insider users and maybe even Windows 11 Build users. 22000.1041 already get this feature, but even so, maybe not all users who get it.

Okay, if this is only for a select number of insider users, can we activate it manually? Of course we can, by using ViveTool, one of our favorite applications.

To activate this ability, it’s very easy, you just need to download ViveTool on the GitHub page following > then extract as usual > then open it with Windows Terminal as Administrator > and then enter the following command: c:vivetoolvivetool /enable /id:36718398.

Regarding this ability, I think it will be quite interesting for those of you who often interact with Widgets in Windows 11, but if you never use Widgets and don’t even activate them, then this feature is not really needed.

What do you think? comment below guys.
