For some users, active monitoring of their device resources is necessary, for example when playing games, doing reviews, or other things.
Based on information from CapFrameX, from the tests it is running using HWiNFO, CPU Usage Reporting on Windows 11 Beta Channel build 22621 seems to have a problem, when measuring Ryzen 7 5800X3D performance on Lara Croft Shadow of the Tomb Raider (SotTR).
The problem is that CPU Usage Reporting seems to report very low in one scene in the game which is usually known to be quite intense on CPU Usage, and reportedly only 1 in 16 threads is reporting CPU Usage correctly.
“The core usage reporting on Window 11 is completely broken. Should be >80% for SotTR + this particular scene and settings. What happened? Did the recent update change the timer behavior?” CapFrameX said.
Meanwhile, this problem also appears to apply to the Task Manager, where CPU usage is reportedly not displaying the correct information, and worse, it does not only apply to the Lara Croft Shadow of the Tomb Raider (SotTR) game, but to almost all games.
Regarding this, there is still no response from Microsoft, but of course, if many users report the same thing, hopefully Microsoft will solve this problem soon, because errors in CPU Usage Reporting can be fatal, especially for reviewers who want to review their processor. Use.
