Even though Apple has released the macOS Monterey update, that doesn’t mean Apple is abandoning the old macOS update. Apple still provides limited support in the form of bug fixes and system improvements on two versions of macOS and below.
Apple today officially released macOS Big Sur 11.6.6 and macOS Catalina 10.15.7 along with the macOS Monterey 12.4 update. What are the new features that Apple brings in this update for macOS Big Sur 11.6.6 and macOS Catalina 10.15.7?
There are no new features whatsoever. Even Apple also does not provide detailed information. Apple only provides bug fixes and system improvements without any new features.
Even so, this update is still highly recommended to be downloaded. Especially for those who are not getting the latest macOS updates and are stuck on macOS Big Sur or Catalina.
