After yesterday Microsoft confirmed that there was a problem with the Wi-Fi Hotspot after installing the Cumulative Update in June 2022, unfortunately the problem didn’t end there, because this time there was another problem reported.
This issue occurs on ARM devices, where a number of users report they can’t sign in to their Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory accounts. Regarding this Microsoft said this problem will also affect the ability sign in and VPN Connections, including OneDrive, Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
The systems that will be affected by this issue include Windows 11 21H2, Windows 10 21H2, Windows 10 21H1 and Windows 10 20H2.
“After installing KB5014697 on a Windows Arm-based devices, you might be unable to sign in using Azure Active Directory (AAD). Apps and services which use Azure Active Directory to sign in, might also be affected. Some scenarios which might be affected are VPN connections, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook. Note: This issue only affects Windows devices which are using Arm processors.“
The good news, for Intel and AMD devices, reportedly will not be affected by this problem, but still this problem is quite inconvenient for ARM users.
Microsoft is currently investigating the issue, and if you’re an ARM user, you can remove the June 2022 cumulative update to try to fix the issue temporarily.
